Feminity : )
May 8, 2008
You must walk feminine
talk feminine
smile and beguile feminine
utilize your femininity
that’s what every girl should know
if she wants to catch a beau
dance feminine, glance feminine
act shy and sigh feminine
compliment his masculinity
that’s what every girl should know
if she wants to catch a beau
let him do the talking
men adore good listeners
laugh, but not loudly, haha
if he should choose to tell a joke
Be radiant, but delicate
memorize the rules of ettiquette
be demure, sweet and pure
hide the real you
You must laugh feminine, dress feminine
you’re at your best feminine
emphasize your feminity
thats what every girl should know
femininity, femininity
thats the way to catch a beau

Quite a touching story of Emil Chau… The people around him, especially his wife, really inspired him to write the songs that he had today, which perhaps had inspired and emancipated more people that he would have originally envisaged or hoped for.
The Servant King
January 22, 2008
From heaven You came, helpless babe
Entered our world, Your glory veiled
Not to be served but to serve
And give Your life that we might live
This is our God, the servant King;
He calls us now to follow Him
To bring our lives as a daily offering
Of worship to the servant King
There in the garden of tears,
my heavy load He chose to bear;
His heart with sorrow was torn,
yet not my will, buy Yours he said.
Come see His hands and his feet,
the scars that speak of sacrifice
Hands that flung stars into space,
to cruel nails surrendered
So let us learn now how to serve,
and in our lives enthrone Him
Each other’s needs to prefer,
for it is Christ we’re serving.

Rondo Alla Turka, Radetsky and Pachelbel’s Canon

Canon de Pachelbel
I always do a bit of youtube surfing for string music after cello pract. I realised it helps me better in my appreciation of music and of course give me things to look forward to. This must be one of the best Pachelbel Canon I’ve heard for some time. Enjoy.

And I especially like the last one. The Double Bass guy is really funny. Something that you and I can do in our gap year together one day, with our yet unknown hot keyboardist in tow. : )
That moment will really be worth training and waiting for.

范文芳 – 再见荧光兰
Was doing a bit of surfing and I came across one of my favourite songs from those old time TCS serial.
しるし.
May 9, 2007
One of my favourite songs from Mr Children. One thing I like about the Japanese language is that despite having fewer words than the English language, its grammar structure enables you to convey many many different nuances that the English language is unable to match up to.
I remembered watching Mr Children on the television with Jie and Kazuki in Japan and that itself was very unforgetable. Ah. しるし. It makes me want to cry.
True Colours.
April 12, 2007
Show me a smile then,
Don’t be unhappy, can’t remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow
It is perhaps with some irony that when we talk about “true colours”, it always convey a negative reaction about seeing the “bad side” of somebody. But it is time to change that perception, and to help convey the image that being honest and transparent – being yourself is the most positive attitude one can have about themselves.
I realised why I have such a huge discrepancies with my friends when we talk about who is cute or not, because I always look for that inner shine, whereas they will look for the perfect features. Of course they outnumber me, and that puts me at doubt about my own judgement of beauty. Peer pressure does work sometimes.
Having watched the “Phantom of the Opera” last Sunday made me rethink about the natural reactions to the different forms of beauty. Having took off his mask and revealed his scarred face, the Phantom was abandoned by his protege Christine, who was up till that point enamoured by the talents and teachings of this “Angel of Music”. She gave her heart to Raoul, who until Christine had her voice and beauty being thrusted into the limelight as a result of the training given by the Phamton, had totally ignored this “gawkish looking girl”. It was the Phantom who had groomed Christine to the woman that she was, and to be abandoned like that would put anyone to the point of despair.
There was a part in the middle of the musical when the Phantom sang the song “Stranger than you dreamt it ”:
Stranger than you dreamt it – can you even dare to look or bear to think of me: this loathsome gargoyle, who burns in hell, but secretly yearns for heaven, secretly… secretly…
But Christine…
Fear can turn to love – you’ll learn to see, to find the man behind the monster: this… repulsive carcass, who seems a beast, but secretly dreams of beauty, secretly… secretly…
The Point of No Return” and “Saved me from this solitude” by the Phantom was heart-wrenching to say the least. Not that I can say I truly identify with the Phantom, though I can say I lived through it vicariously before.
True colours should not contain any negative references anymore. I see your true colours, and that’s why I love you, so don’t be afraid to show them your true colours. True colours are beautiful, like a rainbow.
Be beautiful in your own right.

I love the children who sang their hearts out on Easter Day with Min Min’s guidance. The Vietnam trip has developed a new place in my heart for children… Their pureness is really effusive and momentarily effaced any hard feelings that I have for this world.

It feels good to see Godsister growing up too. And how well she has grown into a young lady yearning for a heart that desires God. I give thanks for her to you Lord. Amen.
Last but not least, the below link is something for Disong and Weiren. Pei Ni emailed me and well… I think you guys will have the same reaction as I had.
