Trust and Tarry no more.

April 24, 2008

Revision has been fruitful thus far only for Singapore Society. But I shall continue to remember that it takes effort to turn disappointments into sacrifices. Recent happenings have also affected me in ways that are quite unexpected. I feel pain too in my own ways. But yet, am thankful of this consciousness that have developed which reminds me to turn back to God in supplication and thanksgiving.

A need to be broken down by God has suddenly become so urgent in view of recent developments. Trust and tarry no more.

Some recent events:

Touch Rugby.

It was of great pleasure to took time out in my revision to go and support my godsis Min Min in her last touch rugby tournament. I’m very glad to have saw her play (and scored a perfectly legitimate, but disallowed try), and passionately indulged in sport that holds a very special place in my heart. This is probably the first and the last time I’m supporting a Raffles team – it is less of the result, but more of the satisfaction in seeing Min Min grow again.

My evil twin and fellow political scientist, Joy Kang aka JK/JK1/JK2/Evil Twin. : ) Thanks for the lunches and the prayers! Am really inspired by how she intentionally make the efforts to reach out to her church youths who are in NUS, and without resting on her laurels, always brainstorming how to reach out to the next one.

Fellow Thurs CG peeps reuniting in Monday CG. Dawn is graduating this semester and is going overseas to pursue her masters. She has a gift with children, and I sometimes go to her for advice on how to teach my Sunday school children.

Clement! Another fellow political scientist and a source of good male bonding. Thank God we still have another semester together. : )

This is Nicole my CGL. Self-proclaimed 漂亮的女孩. Her pursuit of academic excellence on top of being a top-notch tuition teacher has taught me a thing or two about time-management. Heh. Looking forward to learning more from her next semester.

This is Lai Peng! And finally a fellow year1. A double degree in Engineering and Economics. Super pro… I wonder how her brain is structured… Together with Yap Yen and Yap Xiong, am doubly blessed to have known all of them.

I’ve came to Monday CG only this semester, but I was blessed abundantly by the friendships that I’ve made. They played a big part in helping me to want to challenge myself, and also to ease me into the familiarity of university life. I thank God for these group of brothers and sisters-in-christ. : )
